We are currently accepting the following models for buy-backs of $250 with the purchase of an HCS-D40, HCS-D40R or HCS-D40P:
HCS Trade-UP Program Instructions
- Read the Terms and Conditions of the Trade-UP! program.
- Fill out the form at the bottom of this page and a ClipperCreek representative will contact you to give you a Trade-UP! Return Authorization Number (TRA#).
- Purchase the HCS-D40, HCS-D40R, or HCS-D-40P either through our website or with a ClipperCreek Product Specialist via telephone.
- Utilize the shipping container and packaging from the NEW HCS Dual Charging Station to return your Trade-UP! HCS-40, HCS-40P, HCS-40R, HCS-40PR, or HCS-50P.
*If needed please use additional packaging material to prevent damage to the unit during shipping.
- Label the return shipping container with the Trade-UP! return authorization number (TRA#) received from ClipperCreek
*If you do not have a TRA # please contact ClipperCreek to obtain a TRA# before returning your Trade-UP EVSE.
*If you have already received your TRA # you will find a UPS return label enclosed for your Trade-UP unit. Please note if the return label is used the cost will be deducted from the check amount.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to get payment?
Depending on your location, trade-up units may take up to 10 business days to arrive before they are processed. The packages you sent can be tracked by the tracking number on your packing slip. Once your item is received and appraised, you’ll receive an e-mail notification within 10 business days informing you whether your items were accepted or rejected.
Are there any shipping or other fees?
When purchasing a new EVSE, if you wish to participate in the Trade-UP! Program, you will receive a pre-paid shipping label with your new EVSE. The cost of the pre-paid label will be deducted from your Trade-UP! station payment. If a Trade-UP! unit is not accepted and is returned, there is no cost for return shipping.
How long do I have to ship my items?
Please make sure to ship your Trade-UP! unit within 30 days of purchase of your new EVSE. Receipt of your new EVSE is tracked by ClipperCreek.
Can I get my trade-in back if I change my mind?
No. Once ClipperCreek has started processing your Trade-UP! the transaction is final and the unit will not be returned unless it is rejected.
